Bay Beauty, Blooms, & Bunnies

It was just the two of us for Easter, and we were running on spontaneity, but the day turned out to be lovely in so many ways. It began with an hour bike ride in the morning around the neighborhood and back to our kids’ elementary school. We have a lot of hills near our house, so we head for the flats! Although, we attempted more hills in the midst of the flats, executing them perfectly! We’re a little out of shape because of knee and back issues, but cycling is good for both, so we’re taking baby steps. But yesterday was a work out and it felt great! And we love this cool bench that sends a vital message for children

After the ride, we headed south, enjoying a scenic drive along the San Francisco Bay. A seafood lunch called us, so we accepted the invitation. Afterwards, we walked around town, and for Easter, it was surprising to see all the shops open and the town hopping! (no pun intended) Spring flowers smiled at us around each corner, the sun was shining, but the temp wasn’t hot, even a bit cool with the breeze at times. It was sweet to see little children dressed up in their adorable Easter outfits. We saw a cute little girl in the restaurant randomly wish a stranger a Happy Easter. She had the biggest smile on her face. Precious!
A beautiful day on the bay! And, we saw the Easter Bunny! How lucky, right? 😁

Ferry ride, anyone?
The fountain and sculpture in Tiburon’s Main Street plaza
is called “Coming About“.
It’s a kinetic sculpture with a nautical theme, featuring five abstract forms
that move over an infinity-edged fountain. Tiburon in Spanish means
shark, so these fins are representative of the town.
A sight for smiles! 😂

Sounds like a glorious day. We didn’t leave the house, but I’m also surprised to learn that so many stores were open.

  2. It was awesome and the weather couldn’t be more perfect! My sister-in-law came from your neck of the woods and we all had a great time. I’ll share mine tomorrow. I was going to today but time got away. Lots of love.🩷

  3. Sounds like a lovely day, Lauren, and I enjoyed your verses.

We, too, were on our own on Easter Sunday as the kids come next week, but it was the first really nice weather day so I took a long road ride on my bike and we enjoyed dinner and Netflix in the evening. We did some walking together as well.

  4. I can feel the positivity in your post, Lauren. I love it. It’s so good to see your world there, too, so different from mine. I love cycling, too, and for that view, I will be so energetic.🤭 Hugs and love, Lauren.

    1. Thanks, Marina, and there are so many blog posts each day that it’s easy to miss. But I’m always happy to see you! 🙂 And I’m glad you enjoyed this post with the Easter Bunny bonus! LOL Huge hugs and love coming your way too! 💕🌼🤗🥰❤️🌷🐇

Such a sweet and joy-filled Easter… The simple moments made it truly special. The photos are beautiful, what a peaceful, lovely place to spend the day. Looks like a little piece of heaven on the bay… 🌸🚴‍♀️🐰

  6. Nice places and beautiful nature! Love the bench too Lauren. With friends we can travel the world and they do make a difference!

Glad you enjoyed a nice Easter weekend!

Sending love and hugs for a sweet week.

  7. hello – we did have some things in common with our flowers – and Lauren – I just loved all the verticals in your posts – and the full image of those white flowers – daisies? – but the verticals from flowers to sails to the art fountain – was very artsy – and omg – loved the “pass the tissues” because truly many of us can relate to that with spring

    1. Thanks for popping in, Yvette, and I’m glad you loved the photos. You have an eye for photos because I wasn’t thinking about verticals, etc. But even with my cell, I think the pics turned out well. So far, my allergies haven’t kicked in, but they always do, so I had to add ‘pass the tissues.’ Have a good day! 🥰

      1. Hi – I think that the verticals just showed up with me more because of the way I scrolled the post. And sometimes we do not fully know how our photos come across. Like for about half a year, i was only sharing the small image of photos until finally someone, I htink it was Paula, told me that she was missing out on seeing details because my image was so small. I did not even realize that default was on. Then I had a season of using too large of photos and many folks said the images took too long to load. sigh
but other times some bloggers know exactly how they want photos to come across. For example, I was visiting BushBoy’s blog and he categorized themes in a gallery – and was pleased I noticed and enjoyed the grouping.
anyhow, all that to say that even with intentionality or chance, folks will still always take away different things and that is what makes blogging fun, eh?

  8. EGADS you live in gorgeous corner of the world, Lauren!

I’m thrilled you and your hubby had such a lovely Easter.

Norman and I were on our own , as well.

We actually went out and did early voting, together. It was a lovely walk, but other than a veggie & fruit stand, everything else was closed.

Well, 5 more days and we will know if our Liberal party (= dems) won, or the mini maple magas. (Ohhh nooooo!!!!!)

Sending lots of hugs, and then a few more!

    1. There’s a lot of beauty around here, Resa, and we’re grateful. We weren’t sure what we were doing, but the day turned out nice. Your day sounds nice too. Fingers crossed for you! It’s only been 3 months. Appalling in so many ways. Oh well, love to you and Happy Friday! Hugs too! xoxoxoxo

  9. Loved reading about your recent adventure and viewing the photos, Lauren. Such beauty, and man, I miss the sea like you wouldn’t believe. I’m glad you were able to get out and about and enjoy the beautiful weather, my friend. 😊

    1. Thanks so much, Mike and it’s funny, our son who lives in Colorado has told us that he misses the ocean too. I’m glad you enjoyed the post and thanks for stopping by. By the way, today we’re getting April showers. 🥰☔️
