The beach calls, and so does coffee!

Yesterday was going to be a hot one, so hubby suggested we drive into Sausalito and visit this cute little beach. The weather was cooler by the bay, and the sky was the bluest it’s ever been. We walked around, enjoying the sights, and of course, our coffee. Then some thoughts came to mind and landed in the form of Shadorma poems…

Escaping
hot temperatures
we find a
quiet beach
sights offer tranquility
breathing in salt air

Boats on the
bay, stoic in their beauty
a lifestyle
inviting
surrounded by calm water
waiting to take sail

Sitting on
the sand, toes buried
we people
watch, little
boy giggles from water joy
paddle boarders learn

Owning this
moment of stillness
together
he and I
new memory to create
over and over

Cheers! Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed. Have a lovely week ahead! 💦💙🩵☕️

  1. I love the poem, and I’m taking it with me on holiday to West Sands beach in St Andrews, Scotland. I hope to make new memories! Thanks for sharing your beautiful poem and I hope you enjoy the rest of your week.☺️

    1. Thanks, Marina! This is a cute beach and not super crowded. I’m glad you like the poem and photos! It’s hot here, so we’re hunkered down inside by fans. All good! Have a great week too! Hugs ❤️🤗❤️🤗❤️

  2. What wonderful memories to treasure Lauren! Your shadorma poems were awesome too! I felt every word and could imagine myself being there! Big hugs ❤ ❤

  3. How nice Lauren, photo, poem and the smile on your face!
I love the sea and countings the days till I see it again – only 13 more to go…
Have a nice week and hope your health is better.

    1. Thanks for your beautiful words, Marie, and 13 days will fly by. Hang in there until you can dip your toes in the sand. Enjoy your week too, and thanks for the health wishes. I had a few mild jolts over the weekend that broke the pain free streak, but that’s okay. They may come and go forever; only time will tell. And mild is fine. 🙂 One day at a time. I appreciate your wishes. Sending love and hugs, my friend. 🩷

  4. Lovely views, and poem Lauren..
I love to people watch too… Its been a while since I buried my toes in sand.. But I do bury them in the grass often.. 😀 Love Sea Breezes…
I hope you enjoyed cooling down .. 🙂 Sending Hugs for your new Week ahead ❤

    1. Thanks, Sue, I’m glad you enjoyed. This was a beautiful place to cool down. I even had a light jacket on. But when we got home, it was much hotter. As long as your toes are happy wherever they dip! 🙂 Sending huge hugs to you, my friend! 💞🥰💦🩵
