Fresh raindrops gently landed on their wilted spirits, and
I witnessed them lifting with a sigh of relief. Oh, how
grateful I feel to absorb the rhythm of the pitter-patter.

Well said. I love the image this creates in my mind.
Thanks, Andrew. I’m so glad my words had that effect on you.
Hi Lauren, I am so happy for you that the rain has finally come. Now, I continue to hope for our rains to start.
I hope the rain arrives very soon for you, Robbie. After this awful drought, it’s a miracle. π
I can imagine…
Love the masthead photo of the lake scene and your observations on a cheery rain day.
Thanks, Ian. I appreciate your kind words…
Ah, that blissful rhythm!

Little pitter patter… long awaited gift of mother nature! Love that picture Lauren.
Definitely long awaited. Thanks, Balroop!
Beautiful wet relief, Lauren. I think many of our plants feel this way after a long hot summer. A lovely bit of poetry-prose. β€
Hi Diana, I almost forgot what raindrops sounded like. π It was so nice, along with the cooler temps. Thanks for your kind words about my poem, too. It is meant to be in Sijo form, but I’m not sure if it’s right. Hope you’re having cooler weather and getting some rain also. π
No rain here until October. π But we haven’t been as hot as CA.
Without enough rain, we are in trouble.
Definitely in trouble, so it was good to get an inch in one day. We hope to get more this winter. Thanks for stopping by, Binky.
I love this Lauren, I love beauty, seeing it and showing it to others is so precious, it’s an invitation to look around and rejoice!
Stay blessed.
