In one given moment
on a certain day
a light clicks on
life becomes crystal clear
Contentment carried
its weight, yet the road
of life shadows the river’s
endless changes
Choice on occasion sits at the helm
with supportive excitement
Anticipation follows in the wake
but not lagging at all
However fate at times
lands in the driver’s seat
leaving us only to react
to our own heart’s ability

“fate at times
lands in the driver’s seat”
Indeed it does!
This is lovely Lauren, a great reflection and you are so right! Fate is often to be found in the driver’s seat and we have to readjust many times over as think.❤️ Xxx
Thanks, Chris, for your kind thoughts! As I mentioned to Ian, it’s too bad we can’t toss it back sometimes! 🙂 ♥
Too bad we can’t throw it back at times! 🙂 Thanks for your comment, Ian!

Thanks so much, Jean! Hope your Wednesday has been on the wonderful end! 🙂
Fate lands in the driver’s seat, and all the while, we want to be the driver.
That’s I feel many times…wanting to be in control but realizing I can’t all the time. Thanks for commenting, Michelle! Hugs
Fate is a strange creature. Insightful and pondering thoughts with these words.
It sure it, Kim! Thanks so much for your lovely comment!
It does seem that sometimes our destination is out of our control.
Many times but somehow we get through it!
Beautiful, Lauren! 🙂
