Candor

There are words
eager to be said
but they are stuck
in spaces
of uncertainty

I long for them
to roll out
with confidence
on their tail

but not this time

Actions
are
sometimes
frail

Perhaps the moment
will come
when honesty
will be yours
to hear

and the look in
your eyes
will allow
me to breathe
again

  2. I’m really loving your writing as always my friend. It’s awesome how we “know” our favorite writers and can feel their progression and continued inspirations as they continue to write. You’re the best Lauren!

    1. Aww, thanks, Millie! That’s nice to “hear!” I’ve been sick with the flu and have also run into a block wall with writing, so I’m taking some time off for now…much love to you, too, and take care! ♥

    1. Thanks again, Francina! It’s always nice to see you around here. Ironically, I’m on a little blog break; not sure what I’m doing right now but writer’s block has arrived. 🙂 Love and hugs across the pond! xo

    1. Thanks so much Don! I appreciate you stopping by. I’m actually taking a blog break and am not sure how long I’ll be away. So I apologize for missing your wonderful posts but I hope you’re doing well!

      1. You’re most welcome Lauren. While you’re on that break I’ll have a chance to catch up! I become hopelessly slow getting to posts but I do eventually get there, yours amoung my favourites! Don’t worry about missing posts Lauren, besides they are all archived on my literary blog! I’ve been busy as ever with my new business and not much else. I hope you and your family are all doing well.

      2. Thanks, Don, for wanting to catch up on my blog. That’s very sweet and warms my heart. Good luck with your new business, too! I hope success becomes yours! 🙂 Take care!

    1. Thanks so much, Christy, for your complement! And I appreciate you thinking of me in this challenge, too. But right now I’m on a blogging break and when I return is unknown at this time. 🙂 So I’m going to pass for now, but thank you again, my sweet friend! Hugs!

    1. Thanks so much for your “nice” comment, Eric! 🙂 I hope you’re doing well with all your writing endeavors! I’ve actually been on a blog break since the end of Feb. and really not sure if I’ll return…my blogging “career” may be ending after four years. I just haven’t decided, yet, but I wish you all the best if I don’t return. Much love and many blessings and I thank you for all your past support…

    1. Thanks so much for your kind comment, Jennifer, and for also following me. I found you through Scott Mitchell and I’m glad I did. But just so you know, I’m not blogging as often as I used to but I’ll visit you when I am. Thanks again, Lauren ♥

      1. I’m sorry to hear that. I am really enjoying your beautiful poetry! I have my slow blogging times too- sometimes life just gets in the way! I look forward to reading your books (and thank you for the great excuse to do some book shopping 😉 !). Best of luck!!

      2. Thanks so much, Jennifer and if you buy my books, I hope you enjoy. I’ll be posting off and on and when I’m “on” I’ll be over your way. Take care and enjoy your adventures. I’ll look forward to more amazing photos, too! ♥

I appreciate your thoughts!
