A Valentine’s Day to Remember

May we hold close those in our lives
Who touch our hearts
Our husbands, our wives,
Our girlfriends and boyfriends
Our daughters, our sons
and our very best friends
Our sisters and brothers
Our fathers and mothers
Even the furry companions
Who add joy to our days
To those who have passed
We give God praise
for the love they gave
To anyone unmentioned
in this Valentine greeting
We give thanks for your love
For your presence and hugs
Let the Valentine banner be unfurled
And if we could, we’d give them the world

You betcha, sweet sister–we’re just gonna laugh those blues right out of the day! (I need to work on some new material, though–I’ve got some of the “moody” stuff–notice I didn’t say “sad”–scheduled). Thinking of you, still holding you and the family up in prayer. Have a blessed day–love, Caddo

Wishing you a Valentines Day filled with love, peace, and the blessings of those you love and who love you. It’s good to see you back, Lauren – you’ve been missed. Sending you positive thoughts and prayers. ~ Julie xox

  2. Happy Valentines Lauren! Loved the piece, as I normally do. I usually come here last when I read the blogs I follow, because I know you will (almost) always cheer me up, and you’ll never disappoint me!

  3. Beautiful Valentine’s greeting to all of us, your devoted supporters! May you and all of yours just be awash in love today. I loved best your line here speaking of unfurling the banner of love. May we wave it high and tirelessly.

    1. Thanks so much, Rose, I hope you had a wonderful day, too, with your family! Yes, lets wave the banner of love high and tirelessly and let love permeate throughout the world~wouldn’t that be lovely~ 🙂

  4. Lauren, how kind of you to take the time to post a poem with all that you have going on right now. We readers appreciate the kind words and send the sentiments back your way too. Take care.

    1. Thanks so much, Christy, you are such a sweetheart. We’re all returning to normalcy, slowly, and one day at a time of grieving still for Mom and now thinking of Dad without her…but, we’re okay, thank you for your kind words and concern. I’ll visit you soon~xx

I appreciate your thoughts!
