A slight glimmer…

Remember, the breeze carries
burdens down rivers
and across oceans,
majestic trees sway with joy,
sheltering from shadows,
and the light shines even if only
a slight glimmer slips through.
..

Keep hope in your heart and enjoy your weekend! ❤️

This verse is from a poem in my upcoming book.

I’ve camped in Samuel P. Taylor Park a few times, Lauren. The beams of light sifting down through the redwoods seem almost magical at times. A walk through the park is almost guaranteed to relax the mind and lighten the soul. 🙂

    1. You described this park so well, Curt. And I’m not surprised that you’ve been here either. I think you’ve traveled just about everywhere! We just love the redwoods and this tranquil destination and we’re only about 20 minutes away, which is the bonus. 🙂

Lauren, Spillwords “Author of the Month” for May 2023 has a new book on the horizon. Her last book, “More than Coffee”, a collection of poetry and prose, is a gem.
I’m thrilled to share this glimmer with you!

    1. Wow, Resa, what a wonderful surprise on this sunny Friday! Thanks so much for sharing and for your kindness! I’m so grateful you enjoyed More than Coffee, and I hope you love my new book even more! Have a great weekend! 💗

      1. Hey, it was grey and grim here until I read this. Suddenly there is sun!
When do you think the new book is coming out?
I want to be one of the first to review it! xo

      2. I’m happy to bring the sun! My plan is last week of this month, but I should have a date early next week. It’s a larger poetry collection, so the editing and formatting is taking a bit longer. Sigh. But thanks so much! You made my day, and I’ll let you know. 🩷🩷

    1. Oh, Don, first of all, I’m late often in reading blogs. It’s so hard to keep up. One day lost and we’re behind. But your words truly make my day. I’m so glad you have such a positive experience when you visit here. Not everything I post is uplifting, but I think most is. 🙂 Anyway, thanks so much!
