Bananas

Swinging from the chandelier
I’m overwhelmed from toes to ear
I know it’s time to walk the frog
Can’t just sit, type, and blog
I’d love to dye my hair bright red
Could you spare a needle and thread?
Reaching for the coffee cup
Time to fill and pet the pup
In the wind, I feel so free
Would you like a cup of tea?
I’d love to swim and read a book
It’s five o’clock, what shall I cook?
Staring at the vacuum cleaner
I wonder why the fish are meaner
Planets aren’t aligned, at all
Let’s go shopping at the mall
I could talk and talk for miles
but only if you share more smiles

I thought some Friday silly would be in order
to bring some laughter and smiles into your day.

A Little Appreciation…

“For those who read, there is more than one world.”
Greetings!
Lowlights & layers Covid safe just in time for Halloween –
Beware of Foilhead!
👻
Our first, cozy fire on a cold autumn night
paired with Chardonnay
I pass by this driveway every day on my walk with Copper,
always admiring how inviting its set up is…

I hope you enjoyed these snippets of my appreciation, and know that I appreciate all of you who continue to pop in and read what’s been on my mind. The last couple of weeks have been tough in some ways, but today is a new day. I hope you’re doing well and wish you a wonderful week.

Little things that bring smiles

happy flowers

Happy flowers

morning time

Morning coffee time

Copper enjoying the heat

Copper joins us in the morning because this is his favorite
spot by the heat.
(he hasn’t acquired a taste for coffee, though)

loving the sunshine

He also loves the warmth of the sun, but is this a comfortable
pillow?

alseep in the sun

He changed his mind and is now completely content.

“Enjoy the little things in life for one day you’ll look back
and realize they were the big things.”

🙂 🙂 🙂

It’s the Pits

pit toilet

You open the door
and again, once more
You smell that smell
that comes from hell

Though you pay the price
beneath the stars and sky
So you do your thing
and you feel like a king

Then you open the door
and again, once more
You breathe in the pines
and everything is fine

(Let’s just say, inspiration
comes from many places.)

Why Worry?

worried smiley face

What good does it do
except hang around
like super glue
causing nothing but
jitters in the belly
upsetting the gut

Your head’s a tornado
spinning
up a storm
Confusion
Concern
Anxiety
aren’t the norm

Emotions pour out
with implacable power
Oh, how you wish
the tempest would cower

What good does it do
besides make us blue?

By writing this doesn’t mean I never worry,
in fact, it seems there is more reason for it, lately.
But I think we all know it does no good.
So here’s to moving forward with Hope,
Faith and Optimism. 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by
and have a wonderful day! ♥

Scrabble Soup

First you need a thought,
nothing fancy
and it can’t be bought,
then add a spoonful of emotion.
There’s no magical potion,
although, I have a notion
you could include humor.
According to rumor,
laughter’s the best medicine.
It always has been.
Yet, contrary to giggles,
start some tears flowing
with a dash of melancholy,
or if you’d rather be jolly,
Don’t be coy,
Sprinkle in some joy.
Now, to spice up your mixture
(I think you get the picture)
toss in some melody
with your favored tempo
and let your feet dance.
Feel the rhythm and
give romance a chance.
This is where you improvise
(write between the lines).
Follow your feelings.
Close your eyes,
peel off your disguise.

This is your recipe and vision.
Follow your bliss
and for a final touch,

Seal it with a kiss!

Who Knows? :)

question mark

There’s no point to this poem
just something to do at home
passing a little time
with a few silly rhymes
you know how it goes
everyone knows
putting pen to the paper
cleaning house to the later
adding laughter and smiles
good for many miles
chatting about that
sharing coffee with Matt
  acting like a chef
cooking with Steph
always busy, not idle
running errands with Michael
I have to be true
  there’s so much to do
it’s been delightful
not frightful
simply entertaining
while ascertaining
though nothing is wrong
it’s time
to say
so long!

🙂

(I need a dose of “silly” today, how about you?)
