Before dipping your toes in,
you should know that no
relationship will be
smooth sailing
all the way

It will have its
share of maintenance
to be tended to on
any given day

If you keep an open
mind and store it
above board
there’ll be no cause
for running ashore

Wear trust and
communication
as you would a favorite
shirt , remember
you’re both the captain,
then no one should
get hurt

You can now build
your boat together
Set sail
You’re ready
for any kind of weather

My mind won’t rest
with you in my dreams
and the breeze outside
my window
singing a wistful tune
under the spell
of the moon
and when I wake
at dawn

My voice sounds different to me recorded,

after taking a break for a few months.

A little past dawn
light invites itself
streaming through
the window
Feeling the stare
my eyes open
only to realize
night has bid farewell
Dreading
getting out of bed
and the biting cold
when toes
touch the floor
I pull the covers
over my head
Bodies warm
and cozy, a duet
all snuggly
lying next
to my hubby
Daybreak can wait
I’m not willing
to greet
the chilling
hour
just yet

Sorry for another oldie, but thanks for reading again,
if you’ve already seen this. I’ve been busy
working on another project and haven’t had

A gentle kiss becoming decadent
bodies embracing, passion flaring
the baring of equally loving souls
Each giving to fulfillment
breathless whispers
over the moon ending
descending into

for the next

Someone Like You
