slowly emerging
over the hilltop with warmth
blue skies awaiting
my soul is reborn, following
a new bouncing ray of hope

ย Hi All!
I’ve returned from our trip to Central Oregon, mainly around Bend, but we took some side trips that were well worth it. We had never visited this part of Oregon and now we’re thinking it might be an option for retirement (not too soon, unfortunately). ๐ The entire surrounding area was beautiful. Again, these photos were taken from my iPhone and I took almost 300. The joy (or not) of digital! Anyway, my husband and I are still going through and deleting many! We had a lot of fun in the sun andย outdoors,ย but one highlight was our Class 3 white water rafting trip. I was a rookie and LOVED IT! I haven’t received those photos, yet, so if they’re good I may share a few in another post.ย
We made a friend and she decided to rest

Crater Lake National Park – Mt Mazama erupted 7700 years ago,ย
collapsing the mountain, creating the caldera.
Precipitation formed the lake
and seepage kept it from overflowing.
This is the basic information
we learned and photos don’t do it justice as it
is absolutely stunning
Wizzard Island in Crater Lake:
a series of smaller eruptions over the next several hundred years
formed several cinder cones on the caldera floor.
The highest of these cones,
the only one to rise above the current lake level, is Wizard Island
Crater Lake Lodge, opened in 1915. Gorgeous!
Since the elevation at Crater Lake is over 6,100 feet,
we were able to play in some snow and
make funny faces, too! ๐
Supermoon over the condos and through the trees
This is one of many sunsets I captured
Beautiful and Serene Suttle Lake
Beautiful, hand carved lodge door at Suttle Lake
Evening walk, watching another sunset
We had thunder storms the weekend we arrived
and several fires were started due to lightning.
The latter part of the week was pretty smokey
and it was sad to think of all the acres that
had burned and homes that were lost
Another sunset; can you tell I love sunsets? ๐

I hope you enjoyed these and weren’t too bored. I also hope last week was a good one for you and now I have to “try” and catch up on reading your posts.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful week! โฅ

Happy Friday, Everyone! I’m grateful for every day, but I can’t deny how glad I am when Friday rolls around. Anyway, for some “end of week” smiles, I’m sharing just a few photos taken yesterday at the Marin Headlands with my daughter and our dog, Copper…It was real foggy and super windy, but we still had a fun time. Although, I think Copper had had enough of the wind. ๐ Gorgeous views even in the fog, which adds mystery to the photo, I think..you’ll see the Golden Gate bridge is trying to push through and make itself known and the sky couldn’t have been bluer. The last photo is Copper and I making duck faces, while my daughter looks beautiful. ๐
Wishing you all a Fabulous Friday and Wonderful Weekend ahead! Thanks for all your visits and a big Thanks to all my new followers, as well! โฅ
Love and Blessings to you all, Lauren โฅ
