Time to put my feet up

Hi All,

It’s that time again…time to put my feet up
or I should say “recess from social media.”
All is fine, but I need a breather from the computer.
I’ve taken a few in the past and I know most of us come
to the same conclusion at some time in our “blogging careers.” 🙂

I’m not sure how long, but it could last through the holidays
where I’d return in January 2015. So if that happens,
I send wishes for a Happy Halloween,
many blessings at Thanksgiving,
a wonderful holiday season, Merry Christmas
and a Happy and Safe New Year!

But before I go, I just want to thank you all again
for your wonderful visits and feedback,
for your continued support that
encourages me to keep writing from the heart.
I will always remain humble and appreciative.

With much love and virtual hugs and Cheers!

Lauren ♥

See you next year! ♥

Dear Friends,

It’s been a busy time now with our daughter home from college for the holidays and hubby and I are enjoying our full house again with her and our son! So I haven’t been online as much and I’m sorry for missing your wonderful posts. I always feel really bad when I can’t stay caught up. Anyway, this will be the last one for me for 2013. However, I’ll still try to visit blogs when I can..
I won’t completely fall off the radar! 🙂

I wish you an abundance of love, peace, laughter and many new wonderful memories during this holiday season. And a big “Thank You” for your visits, as well as, for supporting the arrival of my debut poetry book. I appreciate all of you!  Sending many hugs, much love and I wish you a safe and Happy New Year, too!
I’ll see you in 2014! ♥

May this holiday find you smiling
Enjoying priceless times with loved ones
Rejoicing in the birth of our Dear Savior
Realizing your blessings and finding peace
Yearning for the Holy birthday of the year
Caring for others who need their spirits lifted
Hosting family and friends in cozy get-togethers
Remembering, any act of kindness is truly a gift
Imagining the festive spirit throughout the New Year
Seeing the delight and wonder through a child’s eyes
Taking time and letting God’s loving light shine through you
Making magical moments that will turn into precious memories
Allowing yourself tranquility in the midst of the seasonal chaos
Silently saying a prayer for those who are in need of God’s healing grace

Waiting for Santa

Christmas tree Michael took

Magic fills the air tonight; Rudolph leads the way
as they’ll land on the roof in the big, glorious sleigh

Her enthusiasm is charming; she’s bursting with glee
making cookies for Santa to set by the tree

It sparkles with colors, all shiny and bright
with tinsel and popcorn and lights of white

She sets the cookies where he won’t miss them
with a bowl of carrots so the reindeer can have some

As darkness arrives, her bedtime is near
inside her heart, she’s holding great cheer

With one eye open, she’s too excited to sleep
but slumber prevails so she hears not a peep

She rises with the sun, joyfully wiggling
waking her parents with constant giggling

They enter the room to find many surprises,
gifts hugging their tree in all different sizes

She was thrilled to see only cookie crumbs lie
and the carrots were eaten by reindeer in the sky

Their tree was so pretty, standing tall and proud
She hugged Mommy and Daddy and thanked Santa out loud

May we all experience the magic of this Holiday Season
with childlike excitement~

Sending Warm Holiday Wishes ♥

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

It’s been three months since I’ve blogged
and I’ve missed you all!
This acrostic poem is from last year,
but the meaning is just as sincere.
Some of you know why I’ve been absent and for now,
things are stable, but I’m still unsure about returning
to blogland. However, I couldn’t let this year end
without sending my sincere holiday wishes.
So, I wish for you Love, Peace, Hope and Miracles
this Christmas season and not only in the New Year to come,
but for forever~

Hugs and Blessings,
Lauren

MEMORIAL DAY MEMORIES AND WISHES XO

Hello Everyone,

I’ll be away this weekend spending
time with my Dad and Sisters,
so I’ll lose blogging momentum,
once again.
If I’m unable to catch up,
I hope your understanding continues
and I’ll see you next week.

Additionally, along with all
the bbqs, gatherings with family
and friends, I sincerley hope
we all remember what this
holiday is genuinely all about…

“OUR MILITARY GAVE UP THEIR TOMORROWS
SO WE COULD HAVE OURS”

It is the
VETERAN
,
 not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is
the
VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is
the
 VETERAN,

not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

  It is
the
VETERAN,
 not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the
VETERAN
who
salutes the Flag,

It is
the

VETERAN
who serves
under the Flag,

ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD,

AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM~
