Layers & Textures: The Unfolding…

A few days ago, I was inspired by Marina’s post: https://marinakanavaki.com/2022/11/03/the-clouds-sometimes/. She is a dear, dear friend and a fabulous painter, photographer, and musician. And we share the same love of clouds, or truthfully, any artwork the sky chooses to display. So much that we agree we can never have too many photos! If you don’t know Marina, I hope you’ll pay her beautiful site a visit.
So, no poetry or story today, just photos from a morning walk – a sky that took my breath away…

Hope you enjoyed and I wish you a marvelous Monday!

If the Universe Would Share

Look to the galaxy, My Love.
The blue luminous star
I desire to be yours.
If the universe would share,
I’d pull the shimmering beauty
from the constellations
and place it in the palm
of your hands
next to my beating heart.
I wish we could sit upon
a slow-moving cloud,
dangling our legs
into freedom.
Our eyes would show
the emotion in our hearts.
Lips would touch, tenderly,
then with hunger
reeling through our veins
like magnetic energy.
We’d fall into
pleasant intoxication,
watching moonbeams
pierce our private night sky.

Canvas in the Sky

The night is warm
Though fall is upon us
Summer’s not willing to go
I’m in awe of the bright sky
With its oranges and pinks
Its beauty is all aglow

Two nights ago, the sunset was
incredible, so I grabbed my cell
and snapped some photos. The dot
in this photo is the beautiful moon,
not the best shot using a cell,
though, still brilliant, and the phase
for 9/23/15 was “waxing gibbous”
with 73% visibility.

I hope you enjoyed this splash of color
and the moon facts I found interesting, too.

Wishing you a wonderful Friday and weekend!

Melodious Compromise

Will you take my hand
let me linger in your eyes
while the music guides
as we glide across the sky?

Will you hold me close
so I’ll hear your heart beat
as we waltz beside the moon
with our bodies in sync?

Will you kiss me like no other
lowering my defenses

as we slow dance above the clouds
stirring up my senses?

And when the music ends
we’ll still dance, you’ll see
I’ll then do the giving
Let me make your heart sing
