Orange Splendor

Overwhelmed jubilantly by your
Radiance relieving uncertainty
Along the path of unknowns
Not once drifting off-course
Giving unselfishly of your essence
Emotions shift in your presence

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh, how you delight with your happy state
Reliable in your everlasting contribution
Awe is a natural reaction
Never taken for granted
Growing from your vibrant message
Effervescent way of spirit-lifting
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Observe soft petals that grin
Raining positivity on passersby
Ambience to daily reside in
Noise silenced so peace becomes the
Glue for a healthy well-being
Elixir from nature’s gift basket of magic

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
** An acrostic is a piece of writing in which a particular set of letters—typically the first letter of each line, word, or paragraph—spells out a word or phrase with special significance to the text. Acrostics are most commonly written as a form of poetry, but they can also be found in prose or used as word puzzles. While the most common type of acrostic is one formed by the initial letters of each line, there are many different types of acrostics with letters in different positions.
We’re heading for the trail this morning for a hike (my first since dealing with health changes in the last year).
So, if you can, get outdoors to inhale the fragrance of nature and enjoy!
Have a lovely Saturday and weekend!
Lauren ❤️❤️
Positive – An Acrostic Poem
Pink lines dictate rules for the near future with
Ominous news initially because of the unknown.
Scattered thoughts from this positive result of what will unfold –
Initiation after three and a half years of
Taking care of self and counting six feet from others.
Isolating from humans, but not from the warmth of nature.
Variant, new, old, irrelevant – time to buckle down while
Eager to enter into civilization once again.
A first time for everything, I suppose, and this is a first for hubby and me. It’s probably just as well we get Covid at the same time. But the worst part is over, fever and major fatigue. Now only mild symptoms that we have to plough through until we test negative. The sun is shining. The sky is bright and blue and lovely. We have our patio and backyard to visit nature and breathe in some fresh air. I think we’re both feeling a bit underwater from tasks needing our attention. But with low energy, we can’t push ourselves. We can only do so much before resting again. It is what it is. We just want to get better so we can enter society again, and we will. Patience. Rest. Patience. Rest.
Anyway, thank you for stopping by and stay well!
This is the second lost weekend for us, so enjoy yours!
Go outdoors and mingle with Nature!
Trouble – Acrostic Poetry
Photo by Inzmam Khan on Pexels.com
Trouble – An Acrostic poem inspired by Colleen’s post , but mine turned into a double acrostic with a more somber twist. It may even be more of a story than a poem. When I saw the word ‘trouble’ my father-in-law came to mind…
Thriving in life’s sunrises and sunsets
Reveling in life, travel, staying active,
Over the last century he’s lived a fulfilled life,
Unaffected by pessimism, his sanguinity
Bestows a light on all who walk in his circle.
Legendary in his knowledge and keen memory,
Enervated and full of pain is his body now.
Taking each day as it comes, persistent agony
Rarely breaks from its stopover, but complaints
Outstandingly never fall from his lips. It is
Unusual for the query to escape, but he
Breathes gently before asking when the distress will
Liquidate his bones and muscles, when it will all finally
End.
Maybe you can relate? Perhaps you’re in the same situation with a loved one?
On a lighter note, if you find yourself at a loss for words, desperately needing poetry writing inspiration, visit Colleen.
Thank you for reading. ❤️
You Rock – Own it!
Care less about what others think
Own up to your awesomeness
Nourish your hopes and dreams
Find light, even if it is obscured
Improvise, if necessary
Dance, celebrating the true you
Encourage others who live in darkness
Never give into negative criticism
Calm is always the best choice
Enjoy life by living in your happiness
Everyone owns it, but sometimes it slips out of grip. The truth is even if you feel insecure, looking and acting confident will not only make you feel better, but others will perceive you in that positive way. Walk with your head up, chin up, and notice what and who is around, i.e., be aware of your surroundings. In doing so, you will appear strong to others. The more you practice this, the more confident you’ll feel, which will cause a ripple effect of positive thoughts, emotions, and actions in your life.
On this positive note, I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving, and let us remember to be thankful not only on this one day, but throughout the entire year. And with these words, I continue to keep the fire victims in CA in my heart and prayers.
With Love & Friendship, Lauren 🧡🧡🧡
