I found this photo
while browsing the archives.
In 2014, we vacationed
in Bend, Oregon,
which seems like
a million years ago.
A time of large gatherings,
not worrying about
what we touch,
and no mask-wearing.
It was a different world.
Sisters, Oregon was a
fun day adventure
and a destination
for beautiful
sightseeing.
I thought this
would make
a good Monday post.
So, I send wishes
of peace
for a new week,
and I’m grateful
for all of you
who stop by
my little piece
of blogland.
I hope you
continue to find
inspiration here
that keeps you
coming back.

Lovely thoughts to share Lauren, Oregon is a beautiful state. Mother Nature smiles more often, disseminating varied colors that change within minutes.
Thanks, Balroop, and Oregon sure is beautiful. We’re thinking of retiring there, but we have other ideas, too. And how much we love Mother Nature’s smiles! π
Beautiful indeed! Have a great week Lauren.
Thanks, Nico! Wishing you the same!
I remember those days with fondness too, Lauren. Thanks.
Thanks, John, it’s surreal, isn’t it? Those days are gone. We’re living a new normal now, and when the vaccine comes out, an even newer normal will evolve. The world is ever-changing, which is why we continue to take one day at a time. Take care!
Yes I think you have it right. Take care as well.
Lauren, this is a beautiful post. I know everything has changed, and it will change, again.
Take care! xoxo
Thanks, again, Resa, and I agree with you. Like I said to John, we’re living in a current new normal, but when the vaccine becomes available, things will change again. I hope you’re staying safe and doing well. See you in your world soon! π₯°ππππ§‘

Lovely, Lauren… β€
Thanks, Bette! ππ§‘π
The PNW is gorgeous. Beautiful photo and post, Lauren. I feel your love and gentle spirit shining through. β€οΈ
Thanks so much, MW! I appreciate your kind and beautiful words. A lovely way to end my day. Take good care. π·π

Serenity is what we all need as we face these unusual times and events so keep those encouragements coming π
I agree, and thanks, Ian. Iβll do my best. π
I have heard about the scenic beauty of Oregon. The lyrics of one of the old songs in my language describe forests and rivers as dowry gifted to mother earth. Your βjewels of serenityβ brings it up again.
“Forests and rivers as dowry gifted to mother earth.” Perfectly penned, Raj, and if you add a sparkling lake, that’s where we love to unwind and disengage from the chaos and technology. Thanks so much for your lovely comment, and I hope you’re doing well.
Serenity and peace through your lovely words and photo, Lauren. Thank you. β€ always, Xxx
Thanks for your beautiful and soothing comment, Jane. I hope you’re finding peace in your new home. Sending love and blessings to you, dear friend. π·ππ·π
Lovely Lauren, yes, thank you. This place is peaceful and I am grateful for it. Such lovely neighbours and many blessings. β€ Sending much love to you and yours, always. β€ Xxx β€
That’s wonderful, Jane! Sometimes when we move, the grass isn’t always greener. So, I’m glad it’s emerald where you are now. π ππππ
It’s strange all the things we could do that we took for granted a year ago.
It’s all about perspective and the view is clearer now. π
How beautiful! Thanks for sharing, Lauren π
Thanks, Barbara! I’m glad you enjoyed these jewels of serenity. π π
Thank YOU, Lauren. It’s been inspirational catching up with your blog today.
(I think at least one of my comments landed in the wrong spot here today. It’s what happens when I use my cellphone for WP. Can’t always see where I am! π)
Aww, Betty, thanks very much! It’s so great to see you here since I was scarce for a much longer time. I really didn’t think I’d return. I didn’t think I had any more writing inside me. π I think I was wrong! Anyway, cheers to our blogging friendship! I replied to the comments, so now I don’t know if you’ll get them or if the other friends will. I don’t remember how it works. Oh well! I can’t do WP from my phone. It doesn’t work and I haven’t taken the time to figure it out. So, my laptop and I have a close relationship. π π€©π€©π€©
