It was hidden
like a speck
of dust
in the wind,
unsure if it
was meant
to surface,
causing emotions
to run wild
in a frenzy
of ambivalence,
but its arrival
is valuable
for all tomorrows

“A poem is a machine for making choices.” (from “How Does a Poem Mean”.)

I like that one, too!
I guess this one could be taken in many ways. Sometimes you don’t want those things to come back.
