It’s a postage-stamp dwelling
with a few chips and dents,
but within the walls lie
giggles and imaginations.
Love enfolds itself
into every creviceβ¦
a wealth much greater.

Yes, very warm feeling, beautiful.
Thank you.

I’m glad my words evoked feelings of warmth and beauty, Joanna. Thank you so much! π
This was gorgeous.
Thanks so much, Drew, and I appreciate your comment.
Yes, worth much.
I’m glad you agree, Andrew. Thank you!
I can attest to the thoughts contained in this poem. At one time, I lived in a 700 square foot house. Love everywhere.
Exactly, John! Thanks for chiming in and I’m happy you had that abundance of love. A home is more than square footage. π
Yes it is.
While I didn’t grow up in a home quite that small, by today’s standards, it was tiny. One small bathroom between the five of us. How did we ever manage? A) we didn’t know different, B) we had lots of love.
Thanks for sharing, Janis, and that’s it exactly. If there is love, the size of a home makes no difference.
the most beautiful dwelling place is the one within us
True, Ananda. Thank you for commenting.
Happiness and fulfillment are not limited to location or space
Your comment ties in perfectly with my poem, Ian. Thank you!
As long as they have chips and chocolate, they should be happy.
Good thinking, Binky. Chocolate always brings happiness. π
Nicely done. π
Thanks, Mark!

A house is just a house if it doesn’t feel like home. Lovely poem Lauren. M3
True, Deb. A house is more than square footage. If it doesn’t have love, it’s only a dwelling and not a home. Thanks, my friend. π
