Soft snow-white puffs float
among the gleam, no filter
Soon a clear blue view

(This was a welcomed surprise after smoke-filled air and sky for the last month. But the fires still burn and we continue to hold all of the fire victims in our hearts.) ππ
Wonderful words to read this AM!! As you note, there is a lot going on right now and the last thing we need is wildfires…but your encouragement to always smile at warm, cloud-filled blue skies is a welcome one! Bravo Lauren (as always)!! π
Thanks for your beautiful comment, Michael. As you know, your encouraging words are always appreciated. ππ₯°
Beautiful morning light.
It was so refreshing to see. Thanks for commenting, Nico. Your thoughts are always appreciated.
ππ
Lovely pics, may this light never wane. Nice to see that skies have cleared up.
Thanks, Balroop, and yes, the blue skies are so refreshing. I’m sure you’re enjoying them, too. Let’s hope this month of the new season of fall is mellow. ππ
Such a beautiful morning sky. Thanks for sharing, Lauren.
Thanks so much, Jill. By the way, I finished “A Home for Her Daughter” and loved it – such a beautiful and tender romance with some real-life issues to deal with. Thanks for sharing your talents. π
That’s so kind of you to say, Lauren. I’m happy you enjoyed Janie and Drew’s story. Thank you for reading. β€
π
Beautiful sky and words, Lauren. Thank you.
Thanks so much, John. We shouldn’t complain because we’re not in the fire’s path, but it is nice to breathe fresh air again. One thing we take for granted. Are you affected by Tropical Storm Beta? Hope you stay safe!
We have had more than two inches of rain but that is the best part of Beta. no other consequences thank heavens. Thank you, Lauren. π
I’m relieved to hear that, John. All these fires and storms are getting a bit annoying. π―
Beautiful image and words, Lauren…filled with hope!! π
Thanks so much, MW. Hope has to hold the upper hand, otherwise, all is lost. Stay well, my friend. π
We had a clear weekend up here. So nice.
That’s good! It’s something easily taken for granted, isn’t it? But at least we’re not in the heart of the fires. Those images of homes lost are just heartbreaking.
how true, so much taken for grated – I was struck by the weather commentator when he was speaking of the cleaning air and brushed aside where it was going since I was going to Reno. We are so blessed!
It’s so nice to see you “here” Judie, and yes, we are blessed. Let’s hope for a calm September. The Santa Cruz fire (CZU) is now 100% contained and that’s wonderful! Safe travels to Reno, my friend. xoxo
Good to know the air quality is better than it has been.
Thanks, Ian. It’s really great to see blue skies again, but sad to hear the fires are still burning. So difficult for the firefighters to contain. I’m praying for a calmer September…
Beautiful, lovely Lauren and yes, holding all in my prayers. β€ xXx β€ β€
Thanks, Jane. I was truly grateful for this beautiful sunrise. And yes, holding all of the fire victims in our prayers. Sending hugs your way. πππ
My kindest regards to you Lauren and all those undergoing these hard times.
Thanks so much, Ian. With the entire west coast burning, it was a little unsettling. And we can’t help but wonder what the future holds for this side of the country. We’re ready to move out of CA. π But can’t do it just yet. So, one day at a time…hope you’re doing well, my friend…
Not doing well here, looking forward to moving out of our state, seems we are seeing the emergence of a Dictator and Police state with the laws on the virus being implemented.
I’m so sorry to hear this, Ian. The world is truly going crazy and so is our country, but I’ll leave it at that for now. Just take care of yourself…
Ah, Lauren, your words and image are such a treat! Thank you! xoxoxo
I’m so glad you thought so, Marina. This sunrise was such a treat! The air is fresher, the sky is blue, life feels a little better. But we still worry about those in the heart of all the fires…it’s hard not to worry or let it all get to you, you know what I mean? Anyway, big hugs to you, dear friend…xoxoxoxoxoxo
I know exactly what you mean, which is all the more important that beauty is shared (I know you know what I mean!)
More hugs your way! π€ππ€ππ€ππ€
Yes, I know what you mean, and I think we both know what we both mean. Hahaha! π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π
π We certainly do! π xoxoxoxoxo
So glad your skies have cleared a bit, Lauren. Hope that’s a good sign π
Thanks, Barbara, and hopefully this is the case for September, too. But we have hot weather coming up this weekend, so fingers are crossed that nothing new ignites. xo
What a terrible thing to have to deal with on top of a pandemic.
It’s great you finally have some clear skies. Hopefully the worst of the fires are over even though you are in fire season.
Thanks, Binky, and that is our hope! Stay safe, too!
The clouds look edible. Beautiful photo. Glad that the sky is back, and hoping that the fire victims find relief. Can’t be easy.
Lauren, I’m glad the air has cleared there finally. Sad to hear the fires still burn though. Have you gotten any rain there at all? (Conditions have improved here too, thanks to plenty of rain this last week.)
Hugs π€π
Hi Betty, itβs been such a nice change and Iβm sure you feel the same way. Glad you got some rain. I know the Santa Cruz fire was contained 100%, but I donβt know about the others now. No rain for us yet. In fact, today and tomorrow are supposed to be super hot again with gusty winds. So another red flag warning is in effect until tomorrow morning. I pray no new fires start. Otherwise, Iβve always loved the fall season. π₯Ί Hugs to you! πππ
Hope you do get some rain soon, Lauren. I heard this morning there was another big new fire? Didn’t hear where it was though. Here it is almost October — doesn’t seem we should still be having to worry about fires.
Take good care! β₯οΈxx
There are 3 new fires north of us in Napa and Sonoma valleys and those residents have been through so many since 2017. Itβs so sad. I know what you mean about October just around the corner. Tough year in many ways. I donβt think rain will come for a while. One day at a time. Hugs π€ ππΌ
Three new fires — oh no…. I just can’t imagine! It’s all just so sad and scary. Yes, one day at a time, on all fronts.
Love and hugs to you π€π
Beautiful and a hopeful sky Lauren. Hopefully, the skies will continue to clear. Stay safe. β€
Thanks so much, Debby. Well, there are 3 new fires an hour north of us. So, it’s a little hazy, but not super bad. Just so awful for the residents who have gone through this before. π¦ Hugs π
They seem to get more intense and wisespread every year. So very frightening. A good time to wear masks for two reasons. β€
