Smile, TGIF! :) :)

Another week of productivity

has sifted through our fingers

A feeling of accomplishment

pleasantly lingers

Now it’s time for our inner-child

to surface, once again

Time for play and relaxation

with our family and our friends!

Enjoy! It’s the weekend! πŸ™‚

I especially like the phrase, “productivity has sifted through our fingers”, Lauren. It gives visual substance that I can really relate to–the feeling of “accomplishment” is very pleasurable! God bless you–y’all have a blessed weekend! love, Caddo

Oh, this week has definitely been a blur, Lauren – my inner child is going to sort ‘stuff’ this weekend … things to throw out, things to keep … but it’s all for a good cause! Enjoy your weekend, my friend, hope it’s wonderful! ~ Love, Julie xoxox

    1. I know you’re extremely busy, Julie, but as you said, it’s all for a good reason, a really good reason, my friend! So, put on some music, do the Snoopy dance β™« and start sorting! I have a visual! πŸ™‚ Love ya!

  3. Well said lauren. Though in my case productivity seems to have avoided my fingers completely and is in fact still under the covers where it has overslept for the entire week.

  4. oh i am happy like the woof in the image…weekend is nothing short of mini vacations…what an apt poetry for the weekdays..
    yay to weekends
    loved the fun poem πŸ™‚
wish you a happy weekend too πŸ™‚

  5. You remind me so well, dear Lauren, of the many years when I had a Mon-Fri workweek and eagerly anticipated the weekends with family and friends. Now, being semi-retired and free-lance, I have the privilege of celebrating times of refreshment all during the seven day week, hippity-hop style! Here’s wishing you a most glorious weekend of fun, relaxation, and restoration, dear sweet Lauren!

    1. Oh, I am just a “wee” bit jealous, but do anticipate our retirement with patience. Maybe 5-10 years left to go! Hee,hee! However, living in the moment counts, too, and although I’m thankful for our jobs, the weekends are just so enticing! Keep hopping, Rose, and bringing smiles like you do! Thank you! πŸ™‚

  6. For me it has been a week of reading, and pondering your wonderful poetry, Lauren. Our weather has turned (finally) and we shall celebrate the sun and its warmth. I wish a wonderful week-end for you and all your hold dear. Virginia

    1. Oh, you are too kind, Virginia! I need to catch up on reading, so far behind, but I’ll visit you real soon! I appreciate your continuing support, my friend! I’m glad you have some sunshine and warmth, so enjoy! xx

  7. Love this clever tgif post, Lauren, I’m lagging behind on my “likes” and comments, have to attend to caregiving for my beloved Mom, bedridden now for 2 mos due to pancreatic C, I know you’ll understand. God bless you, sis!

    1. Thanks, Cynthia, and don’t worry about anything, except taking care of your Mom. I do understand and hold you and your family dearly in my prayers~Hugs and blessings to you, too, sis!

I appreciate your thoughts!
