“As This Moment Journeys Into the Next” published on Gobblers and Chewers!

Dear Family and Friends,

I’m thrilled to share that my poem “As This Moment Journeys Into the Next” is live on Gobblers and Chewers! Thanks so much to Manuela Timofte and her staff for this opportunity. I am very grateful!

As This Moment Journeys Into the Next

I realized this moment would come
I knew the time would arrive,
those hands on the clock
they’re always on the move –
when I had dreamed of so much more
for this special minute,
I have no poem…

  1. I love how the words came together despite everything and you ended up with a wonderful poem. An “accidental poem?” It just goes to show the power of poetry and how words won’t be denied. Congrats on the publishing credit, too! Well deserved, my friend. 😊

    1. Thanks a bunch, Mike. I think I was surprised when this poem unfolded. 🙂 And then the feedback was better than I anticipated. That’s always nice, you know? I appreciate your kind words, and It’s truly an honor to not only be published on Gobblers, but to be in the company of amazing writers such as you. ❤️🤗

  2. Congratulations on your publication! As said on the other site…. This is a very lovely poem, Lauren. There is such authenticity in it, and perhaps a bit of playfulness, claiming there was no poem when the narrators thoughts were indeed the poetry. It feels like it is partly about life’s ironies, as well. Beautiful.

    1. Thanks for your beautiful comment, Steve, and I love your perspective:

“perhaps a bit of playfulness, claiming there was no poem when the narrators thoughts were indeed the poetry.”

If you can believe it, writer’s block had paid me a visit, and then “I have no poem” came to mind, and a poem was born. 🙂 Definitely a first for me to write a poem about not having one. Anyway, thanks again for your amazing support, which encourages me to keep writing. Happy Friday and have a good weekend! 🤗

  3. Beautifully evoked thoughts Lauren. I loved – “those hands on the clock
they’re always on the move…”, are they ever. And I don’t think your pen will ever run dry. Hugs ❤ xx
