Giggles,
barefoot on cool
grass, swinging in summer
breeze, smiles bigger than Texas state
the past
Diagnosis
Covered
ears with shaky
hands, unbelievable
echoes of pain flow in and out
fear not?
Chocolate
Craving
comfort food, oh,
something creamy sounds good
gooey, sinfully delicious
dark, though

these are hardly rough drafts, and if they are … I better start working on mine! These are wonderful AS IS Lauren, although I really don’t get the whole chocolate thingy 🙂 j/k You should play with an oddquain now, or combine the two , maybe alternating them in different stanzas in the same poem or something. You can do it! Oh, and thanks for such undeserved referral to my blog.

cinquain is even, 2 4 6 8 2, oddquain is odd syllable counts per line, 1 3 5 7 1. I’ll be watching …. see my examples or find others online. Happy writing and sunshine.

I love these Lauren! It’s good trying out new forms. Ive tried a few cinquains with a slightly different form to them; it seems there are quite a few different syllable counts. I can soon become confused and enjoy going back to being free!
