Look to the galaxy, My Love.
The blue luminous star
I desire to be yours.
If the universe would share,
I’d pull the shimmering beauty
from the constellations
and place it in the palm
of your hands
next to my beating heart.
I wish we could sit upon
a slow-moving cloud,
dangling our legs
into freedom.
Our eyes would show
the emotion in our hearts.
Lips would touch, tenderly,
then with hunger
reeling through our veins
like magnetic energy.
We’d fall into
pleasant intoxication,
watching moonbeams
pierce our private night sky.

Beautiful Lauren… Oh to sit on a cloud with Moonbeams… Clear skies to gaze up at the stars are few and far between here in the UK…. But you took me high into those magical realms with your poetic words dear Lauren..
Many thanks for your welcome back… Good to be interacting and commenting among friends again dear Lauren..
Love and Blessings always ❤
I’m so glad I could transport you into a little bit of magic, Sue. It’s been a while since I’ve written a love poem. Nature seems to dominate inspiration, along with recently publishing my new book, so several posts of that, too. 🙂 But romance is always a good place to go, I believe. Have a wonderful weekend and love and hugs to you. 💞
Oh congratulations Lauren on your book. Well done you. 😁💚🧡💛
The imagery in this poem is so so beautiful. I could picture everything so vividly. Such a lovely poem.
Hi Sydney, thank you so much for your wonderful words, and I’m so happy you enjoyed this touch of romance.
This is a beautiful poem, Lauren. I am in awe of people who can write such romantic thoughts.
Thanks, Robbie. Years ago, writing romance was my favorite, which was showcased in my first book and earlier blog posts. Thanks for your visit.
I read this poem at first through your posting on social media. I am so happy to read it again. It is just…dreamy! Thanks for sharing your inner word through poetry, Lauren.

Wow.. This was a magical verse, Lauren. I love the imagery! Romance is in your soul❤️❤️🌹💐🙏🤗
Thanks for your lovely words, Diana, and it’s great to see you. I used to write a lot of romance years ago, and my first book was mostly about love with some humorous poems, as well. So, romance is definitely in my soul, derived from my marriage with my wonderful hubby. 🙂 Hope you are doing well! 💞🌻
What a gift that would be! Beautiful imagery, Lauren!
I know, right? I’d love to sit upon a slow-moving cloud, dangling my legs into freedom, with my hubby. 🙂
Thanks for your kind words, Mark!
Liked that 1 too even though J is no longer here. Nice memories!
Thanks again, Deb! xoxo
