More fires rage, the pandemic isn’t going away soon, and political and social unrest remains. So, everywhere we go, whether on a stroll around the neighborhood or a walk around the house, it’s the little things that have the ability to quell the anxiety if we give them the opportunity. XOXO
Thanks for sharing the little things, Lauren… Have a blessed and beautiful day!
I’m glad you enjoyed these little things, Bette. We have to open our eyes even wider in times such as these. Wishing you the same, dear friend. ๐

Super post, Lauren. I like that coffee table and reading material. That book on the bottom look familiar. ๐
Thanks, John, and I knew you’d recognize that book. A favorite in my home library now. ๐
Aw. Thanks, Lauren.
๐
I have a similar coffee mug, but mine says KEEP CLAM AND PROOFREAD. ๐
That’s so cute, Jill. I have a thing about mugs and cuteness. Can you tell? ๐โค
I do too, Lauren! โค

Lovely Lauren, yes, it is the simple things and kindness. This is a lovely post, thank you. โค โค โค
Thanks, dear Jane. I’m happy you enjoyed these little things. Especially in times like these, we need to be more cognizant of those tiny pebbles of joy. Hugs ๐๐ฅฐ๐๐ฅฐ
Yes, lovely Lauren, as they weave together to flow love. โค โค โค

Moments make life… live within them. Thanks for lovely reminders Lauren.
Thanks, Balroop, and your words are beautiful, too. These little reminders shine even brighter nowadays. ๐ท
I love your mug (and Jill’s too) and your sunflowers are lovely. I’m saddened about the new fires flaring up. Some friends had to evacuate from their winery and are awaiting news on its fate (it doesn’t look good). With so much turmoil, it’s important for our peace of mind to find calm and reasons to smile.
Thanks, Janis! That mug is a fun accessory that sits on my writing desk. And sunflowers are so happy, aren’t they? You can’t help but smile. I hope your friend’s home is okay. A friend of mine who had a home/vineyard in Napa just lost everything. Decades of memories gone. It’s beyond heartbreaking. And our red flag warning continues through tomorrow evening. ๐ฆ Doing posts like this one is cathartic for me because sometimes I feel a sense of dread from all the turmoil, as you said. It’s an unsettling mindset to linger in. One day at time always holds true. ๐ป๐ป๐ป
Love the tree picture!
Isn’t it great? My hubby and I were walking around the neighborhood and we saw that. I had to take a pic with my cell. Without humor, we’d all spiral downhill…
Lovely presentation, Lauren. The beautiful sunset and art work on a tree trunk in addition to radiance of sunflowers are indeed mood brighteners.
Thanks so much, Raj. I think we all need some mood brighteners and more often than usual. Hope you’re doing well, my friend…
It certainly has been a strange and difficult year, so it’s nice to have some normalcy.
.
Exactly, Binky. And as Raj said, we need mood brighteners these days and lots of them. ๐
Hi Lauren – these little things are the things I like, too! Love the covid humor. We need that as much as anthing. There’s so much going on right now – it’s too much unless we focus on these small pleasures.
I’m so glad you liked these tiny tidbits of happy, Barbara! When I saw that tree on a walk, I had to snag a photo. How can we live through all the turmoil without a little dash of humor?! Take care, dear friend..
You’re so right, Lauren ๐
Indeed, my dear Lauren, there’s nothing like our ‘little things’, they’re what help us get through hard times and appreciate …being. Many hugs! xoxoxoxoxoxo
I agree with you, Marina, and I’m glad you enjoyed these little things. Hope you had a good week. Mine was super busy, but tomorrow is Friday. Yay! Many hugs to you, too. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Likewise and heading to a busy weekend too but… thankfully there are the little things! ๐ Many hugs and wishes for a beautiful weekend! ๐ค๐๐ค

It’s an anxious time for all who live in this world today. The next world will be a better one for those who have faith.
True on both accounts, Ian. Have a good weekend ahead.
Thank you, Lauren!
Gratitude has been an important tool to get my mind back on track when fear arises. Appreciating the beauty and connection around us is healing. I love your pictures, especially the covid tree mask. ๐
You’re welcome, Lisa. I’m feeling the same with all the turmoil. Sometimes, I’m overwhelmed and almost feel a sense of dread, which isn’t a comfortable place to be. So, if we find those little things that make us smile or bring joy, we can muddle through the overgrown and ugly weeds that much easier. ๐ I thought that tree was so cute, too, and I’m glad I was able to get a quick pic. We can’t lose our sense of humor or we’ll lose the battle. Stay safe! ๐ป

Lauren, you have a beautiful way with words. I feel refreshed with your reminder and ready to find joy in my day. Stay safe.
Thanks for your lovely words, Mary Lee. It looks like we have smoky air again, but at least we don’t have fires threatening our safety. Knock on wood. Stay safe, too. xo
You are so right Lauren. It’s truly the little things that keep us remembering our gratitudes. Beautiful sunset, and love the tree โค ๐
Beautiful sentiment and images.
Rock on, Lauren! โค
Thanks again, Resa, and I appreciate your visits today. ๐ Take care, my friend ๐๐๐ป๐งก๐
Take care!
I love your photos and sentiment, Lauren. A good book to take you away with a nice cuppa will do it every time. Take care and stay safe. โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
Thanks so much, Michelle, and yes, a good book with a nice cuppa is a perfect positive distraction. Have a great week ahead, my friend. ๐๐๐
Thanks, Lauren, and you as well. โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
Another beautiful post, my friend.

Thanks again, Betty! When I saw the tree, I laughed and really appreciated the humor in such a dark time for all of us. ๐งก๐
