A Summer Hello

Dear Friends,

I’ve been thinking about you, so I thought I’d send a little note to see how you’re all doing. Maybe I’ve been forgotten, but hopefully not. šŸ™‚

So here’s a little academic update…I was going to take a summer class, but then life intercepted and I chose not to. I’ve already registered for fall though, so I’ll get back into the routine later this month, and I’m taking the last English class needed.

So what’s new with you? How has your summer been? My husband and I spent a week in Lake Tahoe and had a great, relaxing time. Below are a few photos, and I hope life is treating you all well! Sending my love, Lauren ♄

  1. Jezzz, your pictures are always breathtaking. Thanks for sharing these moments with us my dearest Lauren. Well, you will never be forgotten. Lots of love and hugs. šŸ’Æāœ”šŸ’ššŸ’›šŸ’œ

    1. Ahh, thanks, Maureen! I’m glad you enjoyed these. It’s only been a couple of weeks and now we’re ready to go back. šŸ™‚ And I’m grateful to hear that I won’t be forgotten either. šŸ™‚ I guess I just need some breaks here and there from blogging and facebook, then I enjoy going back to them.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend, my friend, and sending lots of love and hugs back to you! ♄ xoxo

    1. WP does have a way of confusing us. It’s good to see you, Betty! I’ve been on and off in blogland, but I’m trying to read blogs again. So I’ll see you soon! I’m working on a writing project and taking English classes, which is the reason for not blogging as much. Hope all is well and take care!

      1. Sounds like you’re keeping really busy with worthwhile projects Lauren. Glad you still check in here now and then. I was mostly gone for awhile too (health problems and my mom’s final months) so have been gradually trying to reconnect here and get the creative juices flowing. Nice to be in touch with you again!

      2. I’m so sorry to hear about your Mom, Betty, and I hope you’re feeling much better, too. Life sure challenges us at times…It’s nice to reconnect though, and I can’t believe it’s been over five years for me, maybe around the same for you, too. I keep thinking I’m done, but then I have a change of heart. I suppose sometimes my decisions are fickle. šŸ™‚ Anyway, enjoy the rest of your weekend! ♄

  2. How exciting about your English class, Lauren šŸ™‚ Great to touch base with you. The summer is going well, between dancing and writing, with many smiles showing up! I’m blessed to call you my friend ā¤ Happy rest of summer to you!

    1. Thanks, Christy, and I loved reading about your dancing on fb, and of course, your writing, too. I’m slowly reading blogs and yours is on my list. šŸ™‚ You made my day and I am also blessed to call you my friend. Enjoy the rest of your summer as autumn is just around the corner. Many hugs!

  3. Lauren, thank you so much for reaching out in this way. Though we miss your thoroughly engaging posts here we know full well the importance of family, studies, career and life in general. I, too, have been scare here in recent weeks and months, belaboring over the demands of self-employment while pausing on brief occasions to savor the sights and sounds of summer.

Such lovely photos Lauren. My uncle, aunt and their children lived on Lake Tahoe for years. I was only there to visit once as a young child with my family. My recall of that occasion is limited but do remember Tahoe as a place of beauty and serene.

Were you missed? Why, yes indeed! Hold on to the love of written expression though maintain the perspective and focus that life needs to receive. Warmest regards,

    Don

    1. Hi Don, your comment alone is poetic and I appreciate your kind words very much. It’s great to know that I’ve been missed and I have missed you and so many other friends here in blogland. I’m glad you have memories of Lake Tahoe, even as a young child. It really is a magical place. I hope you’ve had a good summer even while balancing work. I’ll be over your way soon, too. Enjoy your Sunday and thanks again for stopping by and for your wonderful comment!

      1. No apology required. But I think you are right; something to work on. We have little chance of undertaking our surroundings until we understand ourselves a little better. šŸ™‚
