Thanks, Joe, it was! 🙂
I love breakfast for dinner!
Just so you know…I don’t use facebook.
Sending you hugs…xoxo
It’s good, isn’t it, Deb, and good to know about facebook! 🙂
Sending you hugs, too, and have a great day! xoxo
yum sounds delicious , enjoy 🙂
Thanks, Soma, it was! Every so often we do that for dinner, since we don’t have time normally for a real good breakfast! Love ya, Sista! 🙂
I love your haiku Lauren, breakfast for dinner is always awesome! I’m hoping to get an email off to you tomorrow, forgive me for being so behind. I’ve been battling this evil cold/flu and went back to the doctor today. Praying you are feeling better with yours my friend…It sure is just plain evil! Love and Hugs 🙂
Thanks, Gabby, and I can see that many agreed with my dinner idea! No worries about being late in emailing. Just write when you can, but I have been thinking about you guys and sorry to hear you’ve been sick with the flu, too. I’m going on day 11 of the cough and fatigue that followed the flu and am not feeling a whole lot better, maybe slightly. I’m giving it until the end of the week and if I don’t see a big change, then I’ll visit the doctor to see if it’s something else…the cough medicine has done nothing and like you said, it’s evil and truly annoying. I’m glad my family sleeps like logs!
Well, take care of yourself and sending hugs to you, too! 🙂
Oh Lauren, this is great–we’re twins. Last night at 11:30, I was fixing “dinner”: a fried egg with cheese sandwich! Whatever sounds good!
Good Morning, Twinnie! Your dinner sounds yummy, too, I have made those often, although, last night was pancakes, scrambled eggs, my famous oven baked potatoes and fruit…the dinner really hit the spot after having cereal, oatmeal and yogurt on the busy days…have a good day, my friend! xo
Haha love it! Nothing like pancakes, sausage, grits, and eggs for dinner. Yum!
Thanks, George, and it’s sooo nice to see you! Where have you been? Well, your “dinner” sounds yummy, too, and mine was similar minus the grits and sausage with added potatoes and fruit! Take care! 🙂
I was in a funk for a long time, Lauren, and avoided the computer. Missed your poems! Your food replacements might explain why I’ve got to go on a diet. Gosh it’s nice to see you again! Hope you’ve been well!
I understand what being in a funk feels like, too. I’ve been fine, except, I took a break last fall when our family received some really bad news…I’m back now because the paralysis has dissipated…not that the bad news has been erased, it’s just “okay” right now, but the future is uncertain. So, back to blogging and writing and dealing with life. 🙂 I’m glad you’re back and I hope you continue to feel good, too!
Ooh family bad news is the worst. I’m sorry to hear that and hope things get better for you. Big hug! You too, Lauren!
Thanks, George, it’s one day at a time and living in the here and now…xx 🙂
Thanks, David! 🙂
Lovely quirky Haiku Lauren!
Breakfast for dinner would suit me fine! Lol
Love and bugs
I’m glad you liked the quirkiness, Christine, it didn’t take much thought, maybe 2 minutes! lol it was good and was a yummy change from the normal cereal, oatmeal and yogurt routine! Love and hugs (bugs?) 🙂 xoxoxo
I use to fix breakfast for dinner for the kids all the time.
I can see I’m not alone in this major dinner decision, Kim! 🙂 It was yummy! Have a great day! xx
You know when you work 9 – 5 and have kids to get ready and out the door. Breakfast is a bowl of cereal or toast. So as a treat I use to fix them breakfast for dinner sometimes. Who made the rule for when to eat certain food at certain times. I now eat left overs for breakfast. 🙂
I know…been there, done that, and even now that the kids are older, they’re busy with school and we work, so it’s still the same…cereal, toast, oatmeal or yogurt! And I agree, who made the rule anyway! 🙂
I like it! 🙂 There’s something special about breakfast for dinner. Did you do hotcakes and everything else?
Thanks, Scott, yes there is! Normally our busy days consist of oatmeal, cereal, toast or yogurt, so a real good breakfast is a nice change. Yep, I made pancakes, scrambled eggs, my famous oven baked potatoes (kind of like authentic hash-browns, hard to describe), and fruit. As much as we love bacon and sausage, we don’t eat much of it, once in awhile, but I didn’t make any last night. 🙂 Anyway, I’m glad this silly 2 minute haiku was well liked! 🙂
Triple by-pass in ’06 – bacon and sausage ? NEVER. And no pepperoni on that pizza either !
Understood, Carl, and I didn’t make bacon or sausage, but we did have pancakes, my special potatoes, scrambled eggs and fruit! We love the meat, but eat it maybe once a year! 🙂
sounds yummy dear…
Thanks, Lane, it was! xoxo
Father and I had breakfast for dinner just last night. Not by choice, I should add. Gotta get to the grocery store. These little humor twists of yours are appealing.
Well, I’m glad you had a nice meal with your Dad, Carl…I know it’s still a difficult time…And yes, I also know what it’s like to stare into the frig and have it stare back, blankly! Thanks so much for your complement, I appreciate it! 🙂
You got me on that one Lauren – dinner but you’re making breakfast – I think the worst here 🙂
Leftovers, anyone 🙂
Aww,but it was really good, Eric, and a nice break from the norm of cereal, toast, yogurt, oatmeal or fruit! 🙂
I love having breakfast for dinner in terms of a big plateful of scrambled eggs or pancakes or something like! 🙂 XO
It was definitely good for a change, Diane! The mornings are always so rushed! 🙂 xo
Hehe funny! I like having breakfast foods for dinner 😀
Glad you liked this, Christy! It was fun and breakfast for dinner was good! 🙂
